From Paris to Stockholm with Pride and Love. Welcome to the opening of the exhibition Habibi - the Revolutions of Love! A magical evening to celebrate queer love.
In Habibi – the Revolutions of Love artists from the Arab world, Iran and Afghanistan explore individual liberation: the freedom of bodies, the freedom to exist differently and the freedom to love how you want. The artists challenge gender norms and explore relationships with their own bodies and the public space. They reassess collective memory in the borderland between history, LGBTQIA and feminism. And in that way explore new ways of thinking and acting to create a different society.
On February 23rd, we celebrate the opening of the exhibition! Put on your best rainbow outfit, your finest pride pins, your best dancing shoes and come celebrate the uniqueness of the queer community with us!
Our Bagdad café is open all evening to satisfy your needs for food, drink and treats. Welcome to an opening night with music, dance, performances and much more!
PLEASE NOTE! For your safety can backpacks and larger bags (larger than an A4 paper) not be brought into the museum and must be left in the lockers. Leave your bag at home or at work. If you have no place to leave your bag you can rent a big locker at the central station.
We will also have personell on site asking to look inside smaller bags that visitors are bringing with them. You have the right to decline, but will then not be permitted to enter the museum. Read more about the ban on bags at the Swedish police's website (in swedish)
NOTE! All talk and speeches will be held in english.
