SunStitch Tatreez invites you to explore the intricate art of Palestinian tatreez, a traditional embroidery style rich in history and cultural symbolism. This beginner-friendly workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of tatreez stitching while uncovering the meanings behind its motifs. Through hands-on practice and storytelling, attendees will gain insight into how tatreez serves as both an artistic expression and a powerful form of cultural preservation.

Nour M. Kamal will guide this workshop. Nour is a Palestinian Syrian who first learned tatreez in UN schools. For Nour, tatreez has been a deeply personal journey—helping her process emotions during the war on Gaza and stay connected to her Palestinian heritage. She will share her story and discuss how this craft has been passed down through generations.

All materials for this workshop are included—just bring your curiosity and appreciation for this timeless tradition. No prior embroidery experience is required.

From 15 years.
