Located only five minutes from Central station, the Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities is a cosmopolitan meeting place for culture, discussion and debates. The museum hosts fascinating collections from Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, The Roman Empire and the Middle East and is Sweden's main archaeological museum of Mediterranean cultures.

The interior of this beautiful building was inspired by the renaissance palace "Palazzo Bevilaqua" in Bologna and forms an elegant backdrop to the museum collectionsan. With its central location and amazing atmosphere this is a sought after venue for all kind of events. We have dedicated staff to help you from site visit, administration and pre-planning through to on-site management of your event.

The museum’s restaurant, Bagdad Café, features a distinctly Mediterranean character, with a focus on Turkish and Greek cuisine.

Bagdad Café is avaliable for rent between 8:30–10:30.

Guided Tours

We offer a variety of special tours and tailored activities at the museum for groups of all sizes.
If time allows, we recommend booking a private tour of the Ancient Egypt exhibition in connection with your visit.
