How fun that you are planning to visit us! Here you will find some practical information for your visit to the museum.
The Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities is located on Fredsgatan 2 in the middle of Stockholm city. The closest metro stop is Kungsträdgården or T-centralen.
Bus 62 and 65 stop at Gustav Adols Torg. Bus 3 and 52 stop at Tegelbacken.
Parking garage is on Regeringsgatan. You can also find some parking spots by the Opera house.
An annual pass costs SEK 250 and entitles you to free visits to all four Museums of World Culture for one year from the date of purchase. Annual passes can be purchased via Tickster or on site at the museums. Read more about the annual pass here.
A day ticket costs SEK 150 and can be purchased at the museum.
Some of the museum's programme activities and some special exhibitions require a ticket. This is always mentioned in the information about each activity and exhibition.
Free admission applies to children up to 19 years of age. If you are 19 or older, you are required to purchase an annual pass or day ticket.
The museum also offers free admission for all visitors on Wednesdays 18:00-20:00.
It is also free for asylum seekers with a valid LMA card from the Swedish Migration Agency. Free admission also applies to members of ICOM or Swedish Museums on presentation of a valid card.
We offer free Wi-Fi to our visitors.
Taking pictures is allowed, without flashes, tripods or selfie sticks. Please share your images with us using hashtags on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
For commercial photography contact the front desk or Communications and Marketing.
Backpacks, larger bags and umbrellas are to be left in lockers for the safety of our visitors and our objects. They are coin-free. Lockers can be found adjacent to the museum entrance.
Bringing your stroller inside is fine for level one but not on level 2 (restaurant). If you would like to park your stroller during your visit – ask the staff for a suitable location. We do have baby changing facilities.
Guide dogs are the only ones allowed inside. Do not leash or leave your pet by the entrance to the museum.
Bagdad Café is open when the museum is open to the public.
Bagada Café has the same opening hours as the museum except on Mondays when Bagdad Café is open during lunch hours.

The museum unfortunately offers no space to eat food and drinks that you have brought with you.
The museum shop offers merchandise from the Mediterranean countries. There is interior decorating, jewelry, knick-knacks, scarves, books and much more. Of course, you're welcome to just visiting the store. Here is the webpage for the store.
